IBEW Local No. 60 Retirees Club
Meeting Minutes ~ May 11, 2017
The meeting was called to order by President Coy Rogers at 12:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance.
Recording Secretary Peggy Schulz read the Minutes of the last meeting held on April 13, 2017,
and they were approved by the membership.
Treasurer Betty Cannon gave her report as follows: Balance forward of $6,420.10 less expenses
of $3,797.41 and income of $6,456.41 leaves a balance of $9,079.10. Report was approved.
Vice President Tim James reported on Local Union meeting:
Gave the number of members on the out of work books.
They gave 30 tickets for a Missions ball game to distribute to any retiree who might want
to go to one of the games.
The contractors did not get the two big jobs that they were hoping to get.The Frost
Tower went to Walker.
Members got new contract which was favorable.
In January, 2018, retirees should be getting a “13th” check instead of a raise in monthly
pension benefit.
Offered a place in their new building for our retiree meeting.
The September meal will be provided by the retiree club. Retirees will again bring the desserts.
Gene reported that the golf tournament was a huge success and gave thanks to Betty Cannon for all her hard work in getting it organized as well as all of the other things she did . Also, thanks to Coy and Sandy Rogers who sold many tickets and all the other things they did and to all of the other retirees who volunteered and worked so hard to make it so successful. Without all of them it would not have been such a success.
Expenses: Tommy Huckelba Tea $ 9.50
Betty Cannon Cards $ 6.50
Motion was made, seconded and passed to reimburse these expenses.

There were 48 in attendance at the May meeting. The meeting adjourned at 12:55 p.m.
